Our Story

Welcome to Solterra Workshop!

We are a husband and wife team with a passion for creating unique, handcrafted pieces for the home.

Our journey began 20 years ago when we started dabbling in woodworking as a hobby. We quickly fell in love with the process of turning raw materials into something beautiful and functional. As our skills grew, so did our desire to turn our hobby into a business.

We started small, offering a few select items at local craft fairs and through word of mouth. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we knew we were onto something special.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire and empower people to connect with nature and embrace the backcountry lifestyle. We believe that the beauty and wonder of the natural world can enrich our lives and help us to find a deeper sense of purpose and meaning.

We're committed to creating high-quality outdoor-inspired products that are both functional and sustainable, so you can feel good about your impact on the environment. We're dedicated to sharing our passion for the outdoors and helping others to discover the joy and fulfillment that comes from exploring the backcountry.

Our Style

WE COMBINE TRADITIONAL WOODWORKING WITH TECH LIKE LASERS, VINYL CUTTERS, AND CAD.  OUR STYLE IS CASUAL, RUSTIC, AND OUTDOORSY.

3D Multi-Layered Animals

Though we make many different products, our most popular products are our 3D multi-layered animals.

Our laser cut 3D multi-layered animals are a stunning addition to any home decor. Each piece is carefully crafted using laser cutting technology to create intricate, detailed designs that are then carefully assembled to create a three-dimensional effect.

Our collection includes a variety of animals to choose from, including moose, bears, wolves, elk, bison, deer, and more. Each one is a one-of-a-kind piece that is sure to be a conversation starter.

Inspiration

Living here in Colorado surrounded by such amazing beauty it’ is hard not to get inspired every time we go on a hike, drive, or just look out from the deck.  We try to channel that into our ever evolving pieces.  Each design is constantly be updated as we get new ideas.

We really like to make each product have some sort of local relevance.  A great example of this is the latest version of our Bison.  One of the layers features the front range as seen from our deck.  I free-handed it, including, Cheyenne Mountain,  Mt Rosa, Mt Baldy, and Pikes Peak. I then converted it to a digital format so the laser could replicate it.

Thank You!

We are grateful for the support of our customers and look forward to continuing to bring warmth and character to homes through our handcrafted wood decor. Thank you for choosing us!
